How To Add Videos

- Once you become a member of Runnerstribe (just click the ‘register’ icon at the top right of your screen), you are able to upload videos from either your own computer or from YouTube. It is much quicker and easier to not use YouTube, but this option is still available.

- Once you upload a video it is then available for others to view. Your video will stream automatically onto the homepage as well as being viewable via one of the video pages.

- All the videos that you ever upload will be stored and you will be able to edit this page and delete videos whenever you wish.

- There are 3 main pages on the site to which you can upload videos. It all depends on what videos you have.  A user must be registered and logged in for the below to work.

Option 1 – Speakers Page

-Lets say you have a video of Collis Birmingham being interviewed or winning a race. One option is to go to the athletes’ page at:

You get to this page by clicking on ‘videos’ then selecting the drop down ‘speakers’ option.

Then find the Collis Birmingham picture/profile. i.e.http://www.runnerstribe.com/speaker/main/show/id/3176-Collis-Birmingham

Then click ‘upload video’ and follow the simple instructions. All videos related to Collis Birmingham get archived on his profile page.

Option 2 – Coverage Page

- Let’s say for example that you were at the NSW All Schools Track and Field Championships or some other such meet and you had a video camera and happened to capture a few races. You can then email us and get us to create a coverage page for you at

Once the page has been created, regular users can then simply and quickly upload videos and photographs to this coverage page. This option is powerful and creates an easy to navigate library of videos from that particular meet.

Furthermore, if a coverage page has already been created then a registered user can add to this page with their own videos.

Option 3 – RT Videos Page

- Lets say you had a video that didn’t really fit into either of the above two options, ie, footage from a opening ceremony or a one off race video etc.  Just go to the ‘RT Videos’ page and click on the ‘upload videos’ option. Then when editing the video scroll down and add it to 'Random' in the coverage bar. It will then be added to the videos on the home page.

I hope you all can see the tremendous power of this new technology. With time it is hoped that nearly any decent race worth watching that gets run within Australia, will somehow find its way onto Runnerstribe.  We hope in turn that this will be good for the sport.

Keep running!
